David Taylor is the Administrative Director of Cambridge Econometrics and has overall responsibility for the support services. He is also the Quality Manager and successfully led the company to certification under ISO 9001:2000 for economic modelling and consultancy. He maintains the company's compliance with this standard and provides the required liaison with Lloyds, the assessors, when they revisit the company every nine months. He also maintains compliance with Investors in People and liaises with the assessor for this standard. He provides administrative inputs to projects and services. He helps to coordinate financial aspects of projects, carried out for the European Commission, if the company is leading an international consortium of partners. For example, he coordinated the finances of the consortia that worked on the projects 'Urban Audit' for DG Regional Policy, 'TIPMAC' for DG Energy and Transport, and 'SEAMATE' for DG Information Society and Media, which had budgets ranging from €1million to €2.5 million. He secures independent audit certificates to justify costs to the European Commission. He also provides administrative inputs to tenders. He has administered company conferences for the last 20 years, obtaining overwhelmingly favourable feedback. He also publicises the quarterly HEEDnet seminars on heterodox economics. In 2007, he organised an international workshop for 275 people, hosted by the European Commission, on state subsidies for film production.
He is also the Company Secretary and a trustee of the Cambridge Econometrics
Trust for the Promotion of New Thinking in Economics, a charitable organisation
that owns the company.
