European prospects by city, region and sector
How will the service support me and my business?
You may already be an established European operator, or a potential entrant that needs to understand the differences between the city and regional economies or how member states are changing with respect to their manufacturing/services mix. You may be looking to understand the prospects facing particular companies already operating in particular regions, cities or sectors within Europe.
This service provides you with unrivalled independent information to support the strategic decisions you must make. No other company or institution provides pan-European sectoral and regional analysis in such detail and a consistent framework, and the cost-savings in centralising saves clients the tedious task of gathering, validating and improving the data.
The service provides inputs necessary to develop projections of future demand for the various services offered by you in domestic and commercial markets. As a subscriber to the service you will receive annual five-year ahead forecasts of economic activity (output and employment) for 53 city regions and over 280 NUTS 2 regions of the European Union, Norway and Switzerland. The focus of the European Sectoral report is on seven key sectors across the member states, Norway and Switzerland: Chemicals, Electronics, Transport Equipment, Wholesale Distribution and Retailing, Transport Services, ICT Services and Financial Services. A similar six-year ahead annual forecast is provided which covers trends in output, employment and competitiveness indicators.
The service also provides meetings where the EU regional and sectoral forecasts and topics of current interest are presented to clients on an individual basis, allowing plenty of time to discuss important issues. These provide a forum for the exchange of ideas and information on potential further developments of the service.
